TEHRAN, Sep. 16 (ISNA)-An Iranian official in oil ministry dismissed reports that Tehran has held talks with Moscow over Russia's joining to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC).
Earlier some media had reported that Tehran and Moscow have held talks over Russia's joining the OPEC.
That is while Russia in an unprecedented measure sent its deputy prime minister to participate at OPEC meeting last week. This was the highest rank of Russian officials at OPEC meeting during the last decade.
"Russia participated the OPEC meeting as an observer member, what was new is that the presence was at the highest-rank," the oil ministry official said.
