Ahmadinejad: Iran to launch satellite-carrier missile soon

TEHRAN, Sep. 26 (ISNA)-In the fourth day of his trip to New York, attending a Ramadan Iftar reception, President Ahmadinejad met Wednesday with Iranian nationals in the United States.

"Having a great civilization, Iranians have always felt sympathy for all human beings and have always been pioneers in science, technology, and culture", said Ahmadinejad addressing those who had attended the reception, adding, "no one can ever hinder Iranians progress."

Addressing the international concern about Iran's possible deviation towards producing nuclear bombs, Iranian president said, "these bullying powers claiming to be worried about a nuclear bomb are big liars", adding, "How is it possible to be worried about nuclear bombs while having tens of thousands of them in your atomic arsenal? Were they worried about this issue, they should initially have made Israel to dismantle its nuclear weapons."

Regarding the Western powers' threat to wage war against Iran should it not stop its uranium enrichment, Ahmadinejad said," Iran does not have any interest in waging wars against other nations and prefers to establish peaceful relations with all nations instead but if anyone dare attack Iran, they will receive a response which will make them repent for ever."

Emphasizing Iran's scientific capabilities, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asserted that despite all sanctions imposed by Western bullying powers, Iranian scientists had been able to gain such cutting-edge technologies as uranium enrichment and launching satellite, adding, "Defying all Western powers' attempts to hinder Iran's progress, we are soon to launch a satellite-carrier missile which having 16 engines is able to carry the satellite 700Kms farther into the space."

He also warned the bullying powers that if they didn't change their behaviour towards other nations, particularly towards the Iranian nation, Iranians would alter the world equations and replace them with fair and humane ones.
