China, Iran's biggest LNG purchaser

TEHRAN, Sep. 28 (ISNA)-National Iranian Tanker Company managing director Mohammad Souri declared on Sunday that the first consignment of Iran's Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) will be prepared by 2012 and most of which will be sent to China.

Iran plans to expand natural gas production by 3 times by 2017 and export one thirds of the outputs, Souri said.

Iran with second biggest gas reserves in the world will increase gas outputs by one billion and 450 million cubic meters per day by 2017 and deliver 38 percent of which to other countries through pipeline or in the form of LNG, added the managing director.
