TEHRAN, Sept. 27 (Mehr News Agency)— The world's biggest oil companies have applied to attend Iran's second Gas Export Conference.

Shell, Total, BP, Sinoc and OMW are among the major oil companies that will attend the conference, PIN reported.

Other oil companies from the United Arab Emirates, South Korea, Greece, Spain, Japan, Qatar, Austria, Poland and Romania will also be present at Iran's second Gas Export Conference.

Following the success of the first conference on Iranian gas exports, the second international conference on the Iranian gas export is to be held in Tehran on October 4th and 5th 2008. This year, the conference will focus on the development of gas industry and challenges in the worldwide gas markets.

The conference aims at providing a real picture of the world gas markets and particularly giving an objective view of the gas export opportunities and potentials of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The conference will also deal with the technical and investment issues within the gas industry as well as marketing and strategic concerns.
