160 trucks carry fuel from Iran to Iraq each day: official

Ilam, Sept 29, IRNA - Some 160 trucks carry fuel to Iraq via Mehran International Border Point per day, an official told IRNA Monday.

Caretaker of Ilam Transportation and Terminals Organization stated that over 28,000 fuel trucks carrying 840 million liters of fuel went to Iraq during the first half of current Iranian year started March 21, 2008.

Mohammd Kazemi said thanks to the infrastructure and well-equipped international transit companies, there is no problem in transiting the fuel through the Mehran International Border Point.

Mehran International Boarder Point is an important trading centers and a major route for pilgrims to travel to Iraq.
