Iranian Alliances Across Borders (IAAB)
is pleased to present the Fourth International Conference on the Iranian
Diaspora. This fourth installment of IAAB's bi-annual conference will be
held in University of California Berkeley's Pauley Ballroom in Berkeley, CA on
April 4-5, 2009.
Hosted by UC Berkeley's Iranian Student Alliance
in America (ISAA), IAAB's bi-annual International Conference on the Iranian
Diaspora brings together scholars, students, journalists, activists, and
others from across the globe to discuss the current state, accomplishments, and
future of the Iranian diaspora community. This
year's Conference speakers hail from the UK, France, the Netherlands,
Iran, Canada, and all over the US and have been
featured on the New York Times, Washington Post, BBC, CNN, the and many other

Registration for the Conference is now open: There are several
ticket options available, including weekend passes, one-day passes, group rates,
and Conference/Entertainment package deals. The general admission/student
packages include tickets to the Conference for both days and garners attendees a
discount for the evening entertainment event on Saturday, April 4.
Saturday night entertainment: IAAB
is also pleased to announce the Saturday night entertainment portion of the
International Conference. IAAB has teamed up with Shabeh Jomeh, a professional
networking organization, in presenting a Networking Event at the Beta Lounge in
Berkeley, California from 6:00-8:00pm. IAAB and PAAIA will then present Fared
Shafinury & Tehranosaurus and Sholi at the Pauley Ballroom for a Live Concert
from 8:00-10:00pm. Following the concert, IAAB will host an afterparty with DJ
Aykut at Cossu Restaurant&Lounge in San Francisco, CA from 10:00pm-2:00am.
While tickets will be available at the
door, IAAB encourages those who intend to attend to register early, as space is
limited and registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
