The following photos show the aftermath of the
recent flooding in the town of Tabas-Masina in Iran's South Khorasan province.
The flood caused extensive damage and destroyed houses. Many of the residents of
the town are now housed in a tent camp setup by Iran's Red Crescent relief
organization.
South Khorasan
is a province located in eastern Iran. Birjand is the
centre of the province. The other major cities are
Ferdows and Qaen. South Khorasan Province consists of 7
counties: Birjand, Ferdows, Qaen, Sarayan, Nehbandan,
Darmian and Sarbisheh. South Khorasan is one the three
provinces that were created after the division of
Khorasan in 2004.
