Yazd, April 9, IRNA – International Congress on Diabetes will be held here on May 19.

Announcing this, head of Yazd Diabetes Research Center, Mohammad Afkhami-Ardakani told IRNA on Thursday that the three-day event is to be attended by the Iranian experts as well as specialists from Germany, the US, England, Spain, India, Nigeria and Pakistan.

Topics for discussion at the event include counseling and education on diabetes, basic sciences and diabetes as well as medical cares, he said, adding that educational workshops on the disease will also be organized on the sidelines of the congress.

The event will seek to present the latest findings on preventing and treating diabetes, Afkhami said.

The International Congress on Diabetes will be sponsored by Iran's Association of Diabetes, Martyr Sadouqi Medical Sciences University and Yazd Diabetes Research Center.
