SAMA reported that 25 mountaineering groups, people loving natural environment, and a number of reporters took part in the initiative to protect valuable historical and natural heritage of Tehran.

A day in Darband (By Syma Sayyah, Tehran)

First garbage bags were distributed among the participants in Velenjak, Darband, Darakeh, Darabad, and Kolakchal followed by special programs on how to use environment in a correct way. Afterwards, waste material left at the mountains was collected. The program was carried out by House of Environment, which is affiliated to Tehran Municipality Cultural and Arts Organization.
