Iran National Library to boost ties with Asian, European institutions
TEHRAN,
April 18 (Mehr News Agency) -- The Iran
National Library and Archive will sign memorandums of understanding with
libraries in several Asian and European countries in near future, INLA director
Ali-Akbar Ash'ari told ISNA.
INLA will sign the MOUs with Austria, Macedonia, China and Ukraine in the near
future to boost cultural ties between Iran and the other countries, he said.
The director of the Austrian National Library and the delegation will travel
Tehran to visit INLA and sign agreements with the library in the near future, he
said.
Despite the negative propaganda of the western media, Iran is ready to sign
agreements with other countries to manifest Iran's capabilities and present a
true picture of the country, he mentioned.
He went on to say that Macedonia, China and Ukraine also have announced their
interest in increased cooperation with Iran and currently, INLA is consulting
with them to reach an agreement.
Previously, Ash'ari announced that Iran has active academic relations with
libraries in 18 Asian, 13 European and three African countries as well as the
United States Library of Congress.
