Persepolis suffers heavy loss to Al Gharafa in ACL, Sepahan defeated by Bunyodkor

Persepolis payments cut after loss in ACL

TEHRAN, April 22 (Mehr News Agency) -- Payments to Persepolis coaches' and players' will be deducted after Tuesday's heavy defeat against Al Gharafa in the Asian Champions League (ACL).

Persepolis was badly beaten 5-1 by Qatar's club in Group B of ACL.

Al Gharafa revived its hopes of reaching the knockout stage of the Asian Champions League for the first time after victory over Iran's representative.

Persepolis officials will deduct 20% and 10% from coaches' and players' contracts respectively as a result of this heavy loss.

Persepolis stands in second place with seven points, behind Saudi Arabia's Al Shabab with 10 points

Sepahan beaten by Bunyodkor

ISFAHAN, April 21 (Mehr News Agency) -- Timur Kapadze gave Bunyodkor a vital three points against Iran's Sepahan on Tuesday in the Asian Champions League(ACL).

In the match held at the Fuladshahr Stadium, Uzbekistan's team beat the 2007 ACL runner-up 1-0 to boost their qualification hopes in Group D.

Kapadze opened Rahman Ahmadi's goal with a header in the 19th minute.

Sepahan had tied Bunyodkor 2-2 two weeks ago in Tashkent.

The UAE's Al-Shabab and Al-Ettifaq from Saudi Arabia are other teams in the group.
