London, April 26, IRNA - A UK-based Iranian
scientist has hailed Iran's remarkable breakthroughs in the past three decades
saying the country is now one of the top ten states in the stem cell research.
Dr. Alexander Saifalian, the nanotechnology scientist in the University College London, told IRNA that Iranian scientists have been having outstanding research outcomes in nanotechnology and stem cell research.
"I am presently cooperating with scientists in the nanotechnology and stem cell research in Iranian universities such as the Shahid Beheshti University," he said.
Saifalian, who has won several international awards as an outstanding researcher of medical sciences, added Iranian scientists are at a high level of knowledge and capability, adding that the country stands first in the Middle East and ninth globally in stem cell research.
He added that Iranian scientists outperform their British counterparts in many medical sectors.
Saifalian said Iranian nanotechnology experts can make remarkable breakthroughs in
the future should they continue their research and study in the area.
"Even though Iranian scientists have been having acceptable and very good performance in nanotechnology and stem cell research, we need to invest more in these two sectors which are highly likely to have an unbelievable impact on the future life," he said.
