MASHHAD, April 26 (Mehr News Agency) -- Esteghlal football team won the championship of the eighth edition of the Iran Professional League (IPL) for the second time on Sunday.
Brazilian Fabio Johnvario's 41st minute goal gave the visitors an unforgettable victory over struggling Payam of Mashhad.
Esteghlal overtook Zob Ahan of Isfahan on goal difference at the top of the IPL.
Zob Ahan was badly beaten by Foulad of Ahvaz 4-1 and missed a good opportunity to win the 8th IPL championship.
Nader Ahmadi (6), Ahmad Aleneme(76), Mohammad Ghazi(79) and Sajjad Feyzollahi (90) scored for Foulad and Mostafa Salehinejad netted Zob Ahan's sole goal.

Mohammad Mansouri gave Persepolis the lead in the 54th minute with a long range shot outside the box.
Hadi Norouzi doubled the score in the 75th minute to seal a consolation victory for the defending champions. Rah Ahan Keeper Hossein Ashna's blunder handed an empty net opportunity to the Persepolis striker and he opened the goal.
Persepolis ranks fifth in the 8th edition of the IPL with 55 points.
The match was attended by less than 1,000 fans.
