Andranik Teymourian |
BARNSLEY, England, April
26 (Mehr News Agency) -- Barnsley's Iranian midfielder Andranik Teymourian is
looking forward to playing for newly appointed coach Afshin Ghotbi.
"I would be happy to wear the national team's jersey again and hope
that it will happen soon. In the last four years, I missed just
three matches, namely North Korea, South Korea and Saudi Arabia due
to injury, but I am ready now," said Teymourian.
"Iran is in a difficult situation in the 2010 World Cup qualifiers,
however we can beat North Korea in Pyongyang. Iran has beaten that
team there before," Barnsley midfielder added.
"I have not worked with Afshin Ghotbi but I know he is the favorite
coach in Iran. He has worked with some great coaches such as Guss
Hiddink and Pim Verbeek. We need all the Iranians' support to
qualify for the World Cup," Teymourian concluded. |
