Press TV - Iranian authorities have arrested one
of defeated presidential candidate Mir-Hossein Mousavi's senior campaign
officials at his workplace.
In the late hours of Tuesday night, Mir-Hamid Hassanzadeh was detained at the office of Iranian Student News Agency (ISNA), where he is advisor, the local Tabnak website reported.
Tabnak added that Hassanzadeh has been arrested in connection with his work at Qalamnews, Mousavi's official website, which he ran during the election campaign.
Reports indicate that his computer has also been confiscated during the arrest.
Hassanzadeh, who had already left his post at Qalamnews, is a former ISNA manager and a close friend of Mousavi's campaign manager, Abolfazl Fateh.
Prior to the elections, Hassanzadeh led the Mousavi campaign's advertisement and public relations committee.
Mousavi and fellow pro-Reform candidate Mehdi Karroubi became the leaders of an opposition movement in Iran after they refused to accept the official results of the June 12 vote, which announced President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad the victor with an unprecedented margin.
