UAE's Mubadala denies gas talks with Iran

TEHRAN, Aug. 17 (Mehr News Agency) - The UAE-based Mubadala Petroleum Services Company has rejected the news of being in talks with the National Iranian Oil Company for the transfer of gas from Iran.

In an email sent to the Tehran Times, a Mubadala spokesman noted, "Neither Mubadala nor any of its subsidiaries are involved in discussions with the NIOC regarding import of gas to the UAE."

The Mehr news agency published a report on Sunday stating the emirate company has reached a preliminary agreement with NIOC to import gas from Iran's Salman field as the deal between NIOC and UAE's Crescent National Gas Corporation has hit a standstill.
