TEHRAN, Aug. 25 (Mehr News Agency) -- Mohammad Hossein Latifi's film on the Brazilian soccer
player Ronaldo will go on screen in about 80 countries. Entitled "Number 9," the
film is about a 13-year-old Palestinian girl who dies before her dream of
meeting Ronaldo comes true.
"The film is an international project which is
not produced for Iranian cinemas so that we are not applying for a screening
license in Iran," the film producer Mansur Sohrabpur told the Persian service of
FNA.
Three international film companies declared that they are ready to distribute
the film in different countries, he added.
"Ronaldo will star in the film but there are some options involving Lebanon that
concern the film's actress which have not been finalized yet," he mentioned.
The film will be shot in Lebanon in autumn and will take two months, he
concluded.
