After establishment of a judiciary committee
tasked to query post-vote events, Iran's Judiciary head urges a probe into
defeated candidate Mehdi Karroubi's letter.
Ayatollah Sadeq Larijani ordered the three-member committee to thoroughly
investigate all cases included in Karroubi's letter about events after the June
presidential election and announce the final results.

On Saturday, Ayatollah Larijani formed a panel to
supervise the proceeding of cases related to the country's post-election
violence.
Iran's Prosecutor General Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Eje'i, deputy Judiciary Chief
Ebrahim Raeesi and Judiciary adviser Ali Khalafi were named on Saturday as
members of the panel.
The panel will monitor all the investigations and court proceedings to ensure
that the defendants' rights are reserved and that they are treated properly. The
panel will report directly to the Judiciary chief.
