Iranian security forces have confiscated Parastoo Forouhar's passport
restricting her from leaving the country.
Parastoo Forouhar is the daughter of Dariush Forouhar and Parvaneh Eskandari two
prominent political activists who were assassinated by Iranian Intelligence
forces over ten years ago.

memorial honoring
Mohammad Mokhtari and Mohammad Jafar Pouyandeh. The two writers were
assassinated along with Parastou Forouhar's parents in late 1998.
Parastoo Forouhar, who is a resident of Germany, travels back to Iran annually
on the anniversary of her parent's death in order to hold a commemoration
ceremony for them. However each year the government impedes all her efforts.
Parastoo Forouhar reports that the Ministry of Intelligence has filed a
complaint against her at the Revolutionary court for holding interviews with the
media regarding her parents.
Forouhar just held an exhibition in Tehran titled "I Surrender"
The murders of Dariush Forouhar and Parvaneh Eskandari were soon followed by the
assassinations of Mohammad Mokhtari and Mohammad Jafar Poyandeh, two prominent
Iranian writers. The Ministry of Intelligence later denied responsibility for
the assassinations claiming the Ministry employees had acted arbitrarily.
Eleven years after these incidences, the government still refuses to let the
families of these victims hold any commemoration ceremonies for their loved
ones.
The files regarding these murders remain unresolved in the Islamic Republic
courts.
