Basij and Revolutionary Guards should not have stood against people
Iran's political disputes are grave!

Premier of Tehran, Morteza Tamaddon accused Ayatollah Rafsanjani of "stoking the fires of dissent" with his speech in Mashhad.

Mohammad Yazdi in his recent speech in Qom had very harsh words for the opposition leaders.  But he reserved his harshest words for Hashemi Rafsanjani

Earlier Ayatollah Yazdi, head of Qom seminary and Heydar Moslehi, Minister of Intelligence also pointed their fingers at Ayatollah Rafsanjani for causing the continued unrest in the country.

Tehran Premier who was talking in a meeting entitled "dissecting the roots of the post-election riots," accused the Chairman of the Expediency Council of creating the agitated atmosphere in the universities.

He also spoke out against the Combatant Clerics Association who have recently put in an application at the provincial offices for a permit to organize a rally against the tearing of Ayatollah Khomeini's picture. He criticized the Association's objection to National Television for broadcasting the images of the "desecration" of Ayatollah Khomeni's picture and claimed; "If your claims are not false, why don't you condemn the events altogether? Why do you need to demonstrate on the streets? repeat the slogans that you have been using till now?"

He also claimed that the opposition is trying to draw other cities into the "riots" because they have been defeated in Tehran.

He also maintained that by not arresting the leaders of the protests, the Islamic Republic will destroy their "illusions of becoming heroes."
