After the talks, Larijani told reporters that the meeting was positive and constructive.

Also before entering the talks he had told reporters in Egypt, "there is a good ground that aids perusing Iran and Egypt ties and attempts to support the ties."

He described his visit to Egypt as an influential regional country, "significant," adding the trip was an opportunity to discuss Iran-Egypt relations and related issues.

The Parliament Speaker left Tehran for Cairo Sunday morning in order to take part at the Islamic Inter-Parliamentary Union (IIPU) constitution review committee meeting.
