Grand Ayatollah Hussain Ali Montazeri passed away on Saturday December 19, 2009 and left millions of his followers and admirers longing to send their respect to him. He was a great religious scholar, and a pious man who exemplified respect for human dignity, human rights, democracy, and compassion for all oppressed people. ICCNC expresses its deepest condolences on the loss of such a great human being and scholar, and invites everyone to a gathering to commemorate and celebrate his invaluable legacy and teachings. ICCNC will have a memorial service for Ayatollah Montazeri this Saturday.
