Tehran, Feb 6, IRNA - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here Friday that Iran welcomes changes in the new US administration and is ready to contribute to settlement of world's essential problems.
"Today's world conditions have provided a suitable chance for change in behavior of certain bullying states. The Islamic Republic of Iran is ready to welcome real and sound changes in the new US administration and contribute to settlement of the core problems of the world in an atmosphere of fairness and mutual confidence," President Ahmadinejad told Switzerland's newly-appointed ambassador to Tehran, Livia Leu Agosti, after receiving her credentials.

President Ahmadinejad criticized former US President George W. Bush for his arrogant attitude and for trying to solve global problems through force. "We hope Bush's morals, ideas and deeds too will join history and serve as an eye-opener for other statesmen."
He said Switzerland can play a key role in improvement of global relations.
Ms. Agosti for her part said despite certain European states' criticism, Switzerland wants to expand ties with Iran.
She said all global problem can be solved through fair talks and using force should be avoided.
Elsewhere in her remarks, the Swiss diplomat said her country wants expansion of economic relations with Iran.
