Impressive!
Absolutely impressive!
I found the entire production to be impressive.
Spectacularly impressive!
A rekindling of the hope and the dreams born out of
the Obama campaign, which have withered and wilted somewhat in the hiatus of
transitional appointments.
But, even as I watched, from the hours long
pre-inaugural production of the arts in the "We Are One" spectacular at the
Lincoln Memorial (HBO) to the final departure of "Executive One" as the petty
little leader escaped without a US Marshall at each side, I marveled and
wondered....
Where did Showmanship end and Statesmanship begin?
Was this Real Life, live? Or was it all a Hollywood
sequel, "Forrest Gump Goes to Washington?"
And, whatever it was, Show time or Gotime, just what
role is Barack Obama playing? President? Producer? Director? Starring Lead
role? Or simply a bit actor, with lines to read, as was Ronald Reagan.?
I heard some of the greatest writing and speaking
that has ever come out of the Hollywood writing stables... the kind of words we
usually see in movies about little kids from a small town in Iowa or Kansas who
have, against all odds, hung in there with nothing to go on but hope, and won
the League Championships in the Big City!
And, having listened to what was said, I still do
not know who Barack Obama is, what he said, what he stands for or whom he is
working for, Us or Them? His country? Some other country? America?
Americans? Who? And what?
Everything he has said was said in such a manner
that anyone, everyone who listened, could hear and interpret what he wanted to
hear.
I was not surprised at all to see Wolf Blitzer
interject at one point, right after Obama had uttered some cautionary warnings
to "anyone" who thinks they can "intimidate and coerce the world by threats of
terrorism," with the commentary that he was addressing, of course, Islamists.
I was pleasantly surprised, though, when Obama
immediately followed that warning with another message. This time addressed to
"the Muslims of the world"
"…To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on
mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek
to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West — know that your
people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who
cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know
that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you
are willing to unclench your fist."."
So much for Wolf Blitzer and his dark but
heavy-handed attempts to play the rabbi and interpret the scripture. His speech
was full of such fine subtleties.
Listen to his speech again. Listen, if you can, as
an American who has not had a job in eighteen months, and has received the
fourth foreclosure letter on the house; a parent in a two-working parent family,
just getting by, with two children just coming of military age, and your
investment broker has just informed you that their educating fund has turned
belly up, and there is not enough value left to pay the registration fees at the
local State U; listen as a proud black woman with three sons in a US Prison;
listen, if you can, as a Red-Neck True-Blue American who just knows we should go
out there and kick some of that Arab-Islamic rag-headed, desert-rat Terr'rists
all over the desert; listen as a Jewish/American who "knows" that what is good
for Israel is good for the US; It was certainly not the IsraelAid programs he
was talking about when he spoke of canceling useless programs; And don't ask
for whom that faint bell in St Johns was tolling, and the history it resonated
when it pealed its small notes last night as Obama and his family prayed in an
Episcopal Church, alongside an Orthodox Jew. We all know. And he told us;
listen as an Israeli politician who knows what is happening, but has hitched
his star inevitably to the Zionist wagon and is beginning to fear that this may
be sink or swim-time coming up rapidly!
You will find here the Universal Promise; One Size
Fits All, (Looks good on No one, But Fits All!)
And then, if you can, tell me who is Barack Hussein
Obama, I am still wondering.
And, I can hardly wait to see, because now is the
time he has to start walking. We shall see whose talk he walks.
Whether his words were scripted, his own, or Wolf
Blitzer's.
AIPAC has 390+ members of the House and about 90
senators at its beck and call; that is the definition of power and influence in
Babylon-on-the-Potomac.
So, is Obama still a slave? Or has he been actually
promoted to Master?
