The late Imam traveled to Bahesht-e Zahra to visit the tombs of the Revolution's
martyrs right after his arrival at the airport. The place where he sat in the
cemetery to address a huge gathering of people will be signed as one of the
important and memorable places in the history of the Islamic Revolution by
inaugurating a special symbol dedicated to the historic moment.

The late Imam's grandson, Seyed Hassan Khomeini, who is also in charge of the
mausoleum, will address the ceremonies.
The late Imam arrived in Iran, February 1, 1979, from exile in Paris to further
encourage public demonstrations against the US-backed regime of Mohammad Reza
Pahlavi and to lead the revolution to its glorious victory just ten days later.
The span of time between Late Imam's arrival and the victory of the Islamic
Revolution is dubbed as "Ten-Day Dawn" and is celebrated each year.
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and his cabinet members attended the
mausoleum this morning to pay tribute to the memory of the late Imam Khomeini
and renew allegiance to his ideals.
