Iran's envoy rejects news on Iraq's seizer of oil well

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran's ambassador to Iraq Hassan Kazemi Qomi rejected news on Iraq's seizer of an Iran-Iraq joint oil well in Iran's Dehloran border region.

In an interview with Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Kazemi Qomi said no oil well was occupied and the problem was resolved.

An Iraqi oil delegation stepped in Iran last week and the two sides reached an agreement on their joint oil wells, he said.

The two sides are serious to resolve problems, he added.

Also concerning Tehran-Baghdad border cooperation based on 1975 Algiers Accord, Qomi said the two neighbors set up two commissions to implement the Algiers Agreement to specify land and river borders.

He continued the two countries have put repair of border marks and activation of Arvand Roud on their agenda.
