Salkh village is located on the Iranian island of Qeshm.  Qeshm is an island situated in the Strait of Hormuz off the south coast of Iran and east of the Persian Gulf. Qeshm Island is located a few kilometers off the southern coast of Iran, opposite the port cities of Bandar Abbas and Bandar Khamir.

Following photos are from the annual Norouz Sayyad Festival held in the village. Norouz in Persian means new day, and typically refers to the Persian New Year festival. Sayyad means fisherman.
