Iran: Esteghlal Manager Warns IFF He'll Complain To FIFA Over Moral Charter

TEHRAN, July 26 (Mehr News Agency) -- Esteghlal football club General Manager Amir-Reza Vaez-Ashtiani threatened the Iran Football Federation on Sunday to complain to FIFA over the moral charter introduced by the IFF.

Speaking at Tehran's Academy Hotel, Vaez-Ashtiani said, "I am against the moral charter because we are not allowed to interfere in the players' personal life. We have to guide them, not punish them."

According to the IFF charter, players are not allowed to do certain activities, for example, they are not permitted to ride high-speed motorcycles.

"We should not monitor our players' behavior in such cases. Iran's football will be ruined with these rules. We might complain to FIFA if the IFF officials do not modify the rules," Esteghlal GM added.

The IFF has notified Esteghlal player Mehdi Amirabadi that he will be banned from football activities if he rides his modern motorcycle.
