TEHRAN, July 27 (Mehr News Agency) - Iran's parliament will support an expansion of all-out ties with North Korea, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday.
In a meeting with North Korean ambassador So Se Pyong, Larijani highlighted the important role parliaments play in developing relations and vowed that Mjlis will support expanding parliamentary, political and economic relations between the two nations.
He said the two countries could promote their relations based on their common interests.
Iran and North Korea share similar views toward the international issues, he said, hoping Tehran-Pyongyang cooperation will increase in international arena.
So Se Pyong said his country is ready to strengthen relations with Tehran, adding that the two countries should utilize their potential to develop economic and industrial cooperation.
The ambassador also said Larijani has been invited to visit Pyongyang by his North Korean counterpart.
