Iranian Alliances Across Borders Opens Camp Ayandeh to Rising High School Freshmen



June 1, 2009-Iranian Alliances Across Borders is pleased to announce that Camp Ayandeh enrollment is now open to rising high school freshmen. With a high number of campers already enrolled, incoming high school freshmen to graduating high school seniors are encouraged to enroll quickly, as Camp Ayandeh is offered on a first come, first serve basis and a high number of applications have already been received. The application deadline is June 7, 2009 and applications can be found online at


Camp Ayandeh provides campers the opportunity to:


  • Be part of a positive, inclusive environment

  • Grow, learn, and develop a sense of personal culture as members of the Iranian diaspora community

  • Meet and interact with Iranian Americans their own age and create lasting friendships

  • Gain leadership skills that they can use to help shape their own communities


Prior knowledge of Farsi is not required, as all activities are in English. Camp Ayandeh is a non-political, non-partisan camp that is open to students of all races and creeds.


Camp Ayandeh 2009 is the fourth installment of IAAB's Iranian-American high school leadership camp. This year's camp will be held at Duquette Academy in Western Massachusetts, June 28- July 5, 2009. To learn more about Camp Ayandeh, please visit
