Coach Qotbi: Iran soccer team will certainly go to World Cup 2010

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran's national soccer team head coach Afshin Qotbi said on Sunday the team will certainly go to World Cup 2010 as expressing satisfaction on Iran's performance against North Korea.

In an interview with Iranian Students News Agency (ISNA), Qotbi said that Iran's draw with North Korea on Saturday match has not made the team disappointed for presence in 2010 World Cup and that there are slight differences between points of the five competing teams.

Qotbi added the team just faced a little bad luck since Mohsen Khalili got injured as soon as he entered the football field and that North Korean players took advantage of a couple of mistakes by Iran.

He said now a calm and peaceful atmosphere is much important for the team.

After the draw with North Korea, Iran needs to thrash the UAE and South Korea in its two remaining matches to secure its presence in Group B of World Qualifiers.
