Photos: Mousavi Supporters Hold Huge Rally In Isfahan

A huge rally was held in support of Iran's presidential candidate
Mir Hossein Mousavi in the historic Naghsh Jahan quarters in the central city of
Isfahan on Wednesday June 11. Former president Khatami who is campaigning
on behalf of Mouavi delivered a speech to the enthusiastic crowd. Wednesday was
the last day of campaigns for the election. All campaigns must come to an end by
Thursday 8 AM Tehran time. Voting is scheduled for Friday June 12.

Isfahan,
located about 340 km south of Tehran, is the capital of Isfahan Province
and Iran's third largest city (after Tehran and Mashhad). Isfahan City
had a population of 1,583,609 and the Isfahan metropolitan area had a
population of 3,430,353 in the 2006 Census, the second most populous
metropolitan area in Iran after Tehran. |
