Payvand.com - ISNA reported that according to Iran's election headquarters, 37,420 polling boxes, which amounts to 81.85% of the boxes, have been counted so far. According to the results so far, Ahmadinejad is leading Mousavi by a wide margin, 64.77% to 32.25%. The other two candidates, Mohsen Rezaei and Mehdi Karrubi, managed to accumulate about 3 percent of the total votes.
Election officials had predicted a record turnout among the 46.2 million eligible voters. According to the latest reports, the actual turnout was about 70%. If that's the case, the 30.5 million votes counted represents over 80% percent of the total.
