Tehran, March 1, IRNA - The last stage of the International Alpine Skiing Contest will be held in the Dizin ski resort from March 2-4. The contest will be held in the fields of slalom and grand slalom.
Dizin is a ski resort situated roughly 43 miles to the north of Tehran in the Alborz mountain range. It is the most important ski resort in Iran and The Middle East.

In addition to 30 domestic skiers, some skiers from Switzerland, Moldavia, Ghana, Spain, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan will took part in the competition.
Dizin and Shemshak are the first ski and winter sport resorts in Iran officially recognized by the International Ski Federation for their capabilities in administrating official and international competitions.
These ski resorts are famous for the length of their ski courses and length of their ski season which usually lasts for half a year from the end of November to the end of May.
