Managing director of Tehran Air Quality Control Company announced that five small stations for measuring air pollution in the capital city will be launched by late April.
SAMA quoted Yousef Rashidi as saying that small stations need small area and can be erected in different parts of the city with priority given to locations which lack in such stations.
"The existing stations need a large area and this is a problem which has barred their establishment in different parts of the city, but small stations (micro stations) can be erected in most parts of the capital city."
Rashidi further noted that five small stations have been bought and will be installed by late April, adding, "Each station has cost about 1 billion rials and they contain all needed facilities matching big stations while needed much less space."
