US freestyle wrestlers in Iran for Takhti Cup

TEHRAN, Mar. 09 (ISNA)- US men freestyle wrestling national team arrived in Tehran on Monday for 2009 Takhti Cup.

The team has wrestlers who will compete at 55, 60, 74, 96 and 120 kg.

The U.S. wrestling team has already participated in Takhti Cup in 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2009. The U.S. also competed at the 1998 World Championships held in Tehran.

Five foreign teams will participate in Takhti Cup international wrestling tournament in Tehran.

The teams from the US, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Cuba will take part in the event.

The tournament will be held from March 12-13.
