Semnan, March 9, IRNA - All the Iranian schools will get connected to Internet under a three-year program.
Announcing this, deputy head of Education Ministry's Research and Educational Planning Organization, Hamid Reza Kaffash told IRNA that in the first year, 20,000, in the second year 30,000 and in the third year 50,000 schools will be connected to the Internet.
Stating that an agreement to that effect has been signed between the ministry and High Technology Council, he noted that 200 billion rials has been earmarked for the implementation of the project, of which 100 billion rials will be paid by Education Ministry.
So far, some 6,400 schools have been connected to the Internet and 20,000 others will be added to the list, he concluded.
