TEHRAN, Mar. 11 (ISNA)-Presidents of Iran, Afghanistan and Tajikistan, the three Persian speaking countries, called for expansion of trilateral cooperation in commerce, transportation, water and power transfer as well as rapid implementation of their agreements.
The trilateral meeting was held on Tuesday in Tehran during which the countries called for development of trilateral cooperation in all domains to secure their interests and interests of other regional states.
The three countries also agreed to form a council at the level of Foreign Ministers to pursue their agreements in Tehran as soon as possible. The council will first meet in Tajikistan.
The Foreign Ministers are to hold the next round of talks in the Afghan city of Mazar Sharif in late March to continue the process.
Afghan President Hamad Karzai and his Tajik counterpart Emomali Rakhmonov are staying in Iran to attend Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO) summit in Tehran on Wednesday.
