AIC Symposium on: The Obama Administration and US-Iran
AIC Norouz Reception (The First Ever Norouz Celebration Held on Capitol Hill)
Purpose: The policy symposium focuses on the challenges and opportunities the Obama Administration faces given the many U.S. differences and commonalities with Iran. We expect a vigorous debate from a diverse group of speakers and members of the audience. AIC is also proud to present the first ever Norouz Reception held on Capitol Hill. Norouz is the celebration of the Iranian New Year, and it literally means a "new day." Although the relationship has many points of difficulty, the possibility that a new day will come to US-Iran relations is real.
Place, Date and Time: This Symposium and Norouz Reception will take place on March 25th (Wednesday), 2009, from 12:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. The event will be held on Capitol Hill, at the Senate Hart Office Building - Conference Room 902Further details will be provided upon registration, which is required.

Program: The Symposium will begin at 12:30 p.m. with registration. Presentations and discussions will commence at 1:00 p.m. sharp and adjourn at 3:00 p.m. The Norouz Reception will begin at 3:00 p.m. with a short presentation on the history and significance of Norouz.
