Quarantine units at Iranian airports to stop swine flu
Source: Mehr News Agency, Tehran

Iran has set up quarantine centers in its international airports due to the spread of swine flu infection.

"Currently, we have established quarantine units in these airports where, in addition to giving information to the passengers, health care services are also offered," Mohammad Mahdi Gouya of the Iranian Health Ministry told the Mehr News Agency on Saturday.

However, he added, "We have created no restrictions for passengers because we do not have direct flights to the United States and Mexico."

The swine flu has shocked the globe in the last week killing over 433 in Mexico and 1 in the U.S.

Many countries have cancelled flights from Mexico due to the spread of the disease there. The U.S. administration has adopted strict measures to stop the spread of flu. U.S. President Barack Obama has asked the Congress for $1.5 billion to buy the necessary medicine if needed.
