Radio Festival begins in Tehran


Tehran, May 18, IRNA -- The 10th International Radio Festival and the Second Radio Forum began here on Monday.

A number of issues including music, radio drama, performance of radio in expanding communications and rendering services within new frameworks will be discussed at the festival.

The two events are being held concurrently at the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) seminars center.

The international festival and forum will end on Tuesday.

Some 60 producers from 42 countries are participating in the two cultural events.

Countries including Germany, Spain, France, USA, the Netherlands, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Mongolia, Syria, Iraq, India, Afghanistan, Armenia, UK, Austria, Sweden, China, the Philippines, Brazil, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Nigeria, Egypt, Mozambique, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico are participating in the two-day event.

Some four workshops will be held on the sideline of the event.
