Tehran, May 27, IRNA - An international conference on foreign investment in Iran with the purpose of introducing country's opportunities and capacities will be held in Tehran on May 30, 2009.
The conference secretary Sheragin Shams Araqi said ministers of Foreign Affairs, Economics and Finance, Road and Transportation, Housing and Urban Planning , governor of Central Bank, Managing Director of Bank Saderat Iran, high representative of Islamic Development Bank, senior government officials and international financial companies as well as representatives from 15 foreign countries will attend the conference.
Shams Araqi added investment opportunities as well as possibilities on 11 economic fields will be presented in the conference.
The fields include oil, gas, petrochemicals, car industry, car spare parts, building industry and construction, tourism industry and handicrafts, steel upstream and downstream industries, food production, agriculture and fishery, pharmacology, power and communication.
The conference secretary said a number of members of chamber of commerce, industry and mines from countries like Russia, Turkey, Denmark, South Africa, Thailand, The United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, China, Japan, South Korea and Indonesia will participate in the conference, too.
On the sidelines of the conference, an exhibition of Iran's capacities and potentials for investment will be presented.
