TEHRAN, Nov. 14 (Mehr News Agency) -- The Art and Cultural Organization of Tehran Municipality has launched a new project using buses in different districts of the city as a mobile means of presenting cultural programs to its citizens.
Executive manager of the project Hassan Parvizi elaborated on the programs proposed and delivered at the mobile buses.
"When the summer season ends, and autumn arrives with its cooler and shorter days, fewer cultural activities take place, as not many cultural organizations have special programs for the autumn.
"So for this season, the decision was made to present cultural programs in public places and involve groups of people.
"The organizers then decided to make these programs mobile, by placing them on buses to downtown and the suburbs, since not many cultural centers are in these locals and they are more densely populated.
"The mobile cultural programs designed in these buses are free of charge and educate indirectly, as well as promote sports and other enjoyable activities for families.
"These buses travel on Fridays to parks and other public places like metro stations where large numbers of families congregate. There are also plans to run these buses to schools but that would require increased cooperation from the Education Ministry," he concluded.
