TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran President's wife, Azam Farahi,
is to take part in Non-Aligned Movement first ladies summit in Rome on Sunday.
The summit focuses on "Food Security and Women's Access to Resources" and is led by Egyptian first lady Suzan Mubarak.
Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak is holding the NAM rotating presidency.
Today, women are holding only ten percent of financial credit and two percent of the cultivated lands, whereas they are responsible for producing half of the food produced in the world.
Suzan Mubarak will deliver a speech on further access of women to such reserves.
Also the Head of International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) Kanayo Nwanze and Assistant Director-General for Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Economic and Social Development Department Hafez Ghanem will make speech in the first panel of the summit.
The panel is to explore global experiments to ensure women's access to land and financial credit in order to lower hunger in the world.
