The announcement released last night says: "Preliminary investigations of
Pourandarjani's death and results of his autopsy have ruled out poisoning."
Norooz, website of the reformist group Islamic Participation Front, reported the
death of Ramin Pourandarjani in his retreat at the medical building of the
Security Forces of Tehran. Norooz reported that the officials had announced the
cause of death as "heart failure during sleep."

Norooz claims that this doctor had examined
several detainees at Kahrizak detention centre including Mohsen Ruholamini who
soon after died.
Mowjcamp, Mir Hosein
Mousavi's website reports today that before his death, Dr. Pourandarjani "had
revealed the details of Ruholamini's death and other crimes at Kahrizak in the
special parliamentary committee probing the post-election violations against
detainees and victims."
Mowjcamp maintained "For this reason, had he stayed alive it would have meant
that all the perpetrators of the atrocious crimes of Kahrizak would have been
identified."

Mowjcamp also claims that it was informed by
reliable sources in the parliament that details of Mohsen Ruholamini's death
were revealed by the deceased doctor for the special committee. Reportedly the
doctor had also told them; "I was threatened by Kahrizak officials that if I
revealed the cause of the injuries of Kahrizak detainees, they would end my
life."
In the post-election unrest many reports of "murder, torture and sexual abuse"
surfaced from Kahrizak detention centre.

Who wanted Ramin Pourandarjani dead?
The judiciary announced the resignation of a
judge connected with the Kahrizak events today, ISNA reports. The judge has not
been identified however. Some media outlets have connected Saeed Mortazavi,
former prosecutor of Tehran with the Kahrizak violations.
