According to figures released by State Birth Registration
Organization, a number of 51,192 divorces have been registered over the first
five months of 1388 (began March 21, 2009).
Men aged between 25 and 29, and women 20 to 24 account for the highest rate of
divorce, the figure showed.
There was an 11 percent rise in the divorce rate, compared with the last year.
Not all marriages fail for the same reason. Nor is there usually one reason for
the breakdown of a particular marriage. Nevertheless, some reasons are quoted
more often than others, including poor communication, financial problems, lack
of commitment to the marriage, dramatic change in priorities, and last but not
the least infidelity.
