Behdad Lahoti's Sculptures. Shahanshah was the title of Iranian kings, meaning the King of Kings. Cuneiform Script is one of the earliest known forms of written expression, emerging in Mesopotamia around the 30th century BC. Cuneiform writing began as a system of pictographs , an ideogram that conveys its meaning through its pictorial resemblance to a physical object. Behdad Lahoti insists that the works are neither determinative nor symbolic. His work is not representational or instructive. They are simply echoes of the past in to present time. All the same It's ironical that after 5 millennium Behdad Lahoti uses a physical object to carve his own "ideograms "on. Read them as you like!
