World Children's Day is celebrated annually in Iran on October 8. ISNA photographer Sina Shiri marked the occasion by taking snapshots of children in the street of the city of Qazvin.

 

 

Qazvin (also spelled as Ghazvin) is the largest city and capital of the Province of Qazvin in Iran with an estimated population of 331,409 in 2005. Qazvin is located some 165 km northwest of the capital, Tehran. It is at an altitude of about 1800 meters above sea level, and is a city with a cold but dry climate being south of the rugged Alborz range.
