Iran plans to send living creatures to the space by 2025

TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran plans to send living creatures to the space by 2025, said an official in Iranian Space Agency Wednesday.

Fathollah Omi speaking at "Omid Satellite" conference in Tehran said according to the program of the supreme space council of the country, Iran must send living creatures to the space by 16 years.

The official also announced three Iranian universities are building three new satellites weighing 75, 65 and 50 kilograms for photography, remote sensing and telecommunication goals.

Omi also emphasized Iran is planning building a civil space center in south of the country particularly in its islands in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea close to the equator.
