
TEHRAN (ISNA)-Iran came first in the third round of International Olympiad on
Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA) for high school students receiving four gold,
two silver and one bronze medals.
India finished second after claiming two gold, two silver and one bronze medals.

The Olympiad began last Sunday in Tehran with the presence of students from Belarus,
Indonesia, Poland, Bangladesh, Greece, Brazil, Lithuania, Thailand, Sri Lanka,
South Korea, India, Cambodia, Slovakia, Bolivia, Serbia, Romania, Kazakhstan,
China, Ukraine and Iran.
The 4th round of IOAA will be held next year in China.
